Skjåk has several large cabin areas. Grotli is one of these. Grotli is located in Breidalen by Strynefjellet, right on the border with Western Norway. Many townspeople drive past here when going on the annual spring "soft-ice-cream-trip" to Geiranger, which for many is a cherished tradition. The area is also known for its beautiful nature.
On the poster you can see Skridulaupen in the background, and one of the cabin areas in the foreground. To bring the image to life, a majestic deer stands and looks out while a plane passes in the sky. The plane can be seen as a nod to the story of the two planes that crashed here during the war, where surviving German and British soldiers together had to seek refuge in one small cabin to survive. The remains of the wrecks are protected and can be visited today.
The poster is printed on paper with matte plastic lamination on both sides, which thus gives the poster a feeling of quality, which lasts over long-term use. Note that the colors may be experienced differently in reality than in the images you see on your PC screen.
