In 1955, A/S Norsk Jernverk started operations in Mo i Rana. This had major ripple effects and the population increased by almost 20,000 inhabitants from the 40s to the 60s. Everyone in Rana knows someone who either works or has family and friends who work on the industrial site. If you think about it, the Ironworks is also visible from most parts of Mo i Rana. It towers over the city. When you drive the E6 up Jernverksbakken, you will see the Ironworks as I have pictured it here. In the foreground we see Vikabandet, which with its 2.8 km long wingspan is one of Norway's longest buildings. It transports tons of raw material to the industrial park every year.

As a new resident of Ranværing, Jernverket and Vikabandet were some of the first things I became familiar with, and that was why it was the first Rana motif I made. It's really fun to hear what different people put into the picture. Some see the "red smoke" in the colors Desert Rose and Dusty Savannah, while others see the colors from the municipal coat of arms in the colors Olive and Faded Moss. What do you see?

The poster is printed on paper with a matte plastic lamination on both sides, which gives the poster a feeling of quality that will last over long-term use. Please note that the colors may appear different in reality than in the images you see on your PC screen.
